Bakugan Toys – Some Frequently Asked Questions
This is a guest post by Chloe from Bakugan New Vestroia Toys.
What is Bakugan? It is an anime TV show where a group of children called Battle Brawlers control creatures called Bakugan in battles. The toys and game accompanying the series are centred around Bakugan balls which are spring loaded marbles that pop open to reveal mini action figures inside. These marble toys can be played with individually or used with the cards that are sold with them to play a game.
Why do children love these toys? Action figures are very popular with children and the fact that these transform automatically from balls to figures is fascinating to them. They are also small enough and cheap enough to start a collection from which they can trade pieces with friends.
What do my children need to play Bakugan? The game requires players to have at least 3 Bakugan but if they want a set they can use to play with a friend who may not have these toys then they are going to need 6. Starter Packs include 3 balls and the Battle Pack includes 6.
Where do I start when choosing which Bakugan to buy? Bakugan come in many colours and designs. If you are buying new Bakugan toys for a beginner then the balls you get in one of the starter packs will be allocated at random to the box so you do not need to worry too much. If you are buying some additions to an existing collection then your child will probably know which new balls they want. This may be just by colour or specific creature so ask them first.
Does the fact that the Bakugan are coloured differently mean anything? Yes the colours are used in the game to determine how many points are awarded to each Bakugan during battle. The points are shown on the metal gate cards. Each colour represents a different type of Bakugan, for example, reds are called Pyrus, browns are SubTerra, blues are Aquos, blacks are Darkus and greens are Ventus. You can buy Starter Packs that only include one colour of Bakugan but these are a bit harder to find.
